perspective.

it seems that anything that i attempt to write or anything that i attempt to read ...
pales
after hearing, this morning, of a mommy and a daddy that lost her little daughter. maddie. a seventeen month old beautiful little girl ... with a smile that could keep the sun shining.

perspective. it really just throws everything into perspective.

and there are really no other words that i can offer them, except ...
i'm sorry.
i'm sending the family peace across the miles. and support. because that's something that i (and we) can do.

her family has asked that donations be made to the march of dimes in her name. i have seen the donation number rise several thousand dollars this morning. it's amazing what we can do ... together.

keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. please.

I just don't understand. So many people have lost their children. It could really be any one of us at any time. Trying to live in the moment as much as possible because there's never a promise of tomorrow or a do-over. Thanks for sharing. Breaks my heart.

Much love from NJ,
Sue

I've seen Madeline's name around the blogosphere today and I can't get her story out of my mind. You're right, it puts everything into perspective.

I read about Maddie on Twitter while doing my morning work out and I broke down. All day I would think about Heather and Mike and what the world was missing out on.

What also find amazing is how the blogging community came together for this family. It is amazing!

I was just sick about this all day. I've watched her story unfold since last year and I'm shocked and sadened by her passing. My heart just breaks for the Spohrs. I couldn't even imagine.

As an aside...I'd love to see you if you do make it out here! You're visiting your friend I assume? I am excited to meet you!!!!!
