pushing my buttons ...

have you ever pushed a button ... that seemed insignificant ... meaningless ... slightly mysterious ...

and had it erase ALL of the pictures on your current camera?

and after feeling absolutely anxious and overtly neurotic and more-than-stupid ... realized how thankful that you are that you just spent what seemed like at the time - way too much only $24.95 (or was it .98?) on your flickr account and uploaded (almost) all of your pictures mere days ago?

yep ... that is (pretty much) my life today and this week ... maybe all of last month.

anyone wondering where i've been lately? i. have. no. idea.
i've tried to pop in here and there ... but i haven't had much to bore you with say.

but i'll be back in the saddle ... sometime this month, i'm (almost) sure of it.

we just might be slightly (even more) picture-less for awhile.

oh my goodness - good thing we have the internet, isn't it?? When I went travelling my CF card got corrupted and I lost all of my pictures - thankfully I had uploaded a lot of them to our travel blog.

This is the big reason I only do photo essays on the weekends. Otherwise, my camera would be holding pictures from my pregnancy! (I am very bad about uploading..)

Oh yes, I've been there. I once deleted a ton of pictures of an Xmas get together and there were family members in the pics who are no longer with us. Sorry about your luck...

I think I would've cried. Glad you renewed the Flickr account. I hop there weren't a lot of pictures on there. I found 2 buttons on my camera yesterday that I had never seen before and I pushed them. I certainly won't be doing that again!!

Much love from NJ,

There are so many buttons on my camera that do who-knows-what. I can totally see this happening to me too. Flickr is awesome. Glad it saved the day for you.

Good to see you back around, too. We all go through the periods of feeling more quiet then usual.

Yay, flickr! I lost my middle kid's baby pics (all of them!) when a back up disk didn't burn correctly and my husband, not knowing that, wiped the harddrive due to a computer virus! Thankfully, a dear friend of ours retrieved the photos from the hashed hard-drive a year later, but I was devastated before that. I always back up my photos online, now...thank goodness you did, too! :)

And THAT is exactly why I "back" them up on flickr because I don't trust myself to back them up properly on my computer....Oy Vey!!!
