my poor baby ...
lil' miss cora is sick. again.
should've known ... we finished the antibiotic for the last ear infection yesterday ... and not two hours after ... she was running a temp of 102 and was breathing really yucky ... i gave her a quick nebulizer ... and got her down for bed.
she moaned and tossed and turned ... all night long.
therefore, mommy didn't sleep much at all, either. (i worry about my baby when she's not next to me and is breathing funny over the monitor. so i eventually brought her into bed with me to get a little rest.)
we woke up in the middle of the night and her little body was boiling again ... i called the dr. and they scheduled us for an appt. i was worried about another ear infection ... or pnemonia at this point. argh.
so ... back to the dr. we went. i had to cancel my dr. appt in order to get her in. (sucky ... now i have to reschedule that. we, mamas always put the babies first though, don't we?)
all in all ... another ear infection. and a sick bebe. her breathing is really tight ... so we have to up the nebulizers and try to keep her airway fully open.
i hate the feeling of holding a weak - boiling - listless - little girl in my arms.
but ... i love when the advil kicks in and she finally smiles back at me.
-- off to sing more baby beluga and attempt to convince my body to keep up the milk supply. baby always wants to nurse more when she's ill. unfortunately ... my body didn't get the memo! ah well ... we don't have much longer with the nursing ... mama has a cut off age of two years ... and we're getting close.

Awww...
Boiling babies are sad babies.
Hope this passes quickly!
Poor thing. I hope she is feeling better soon. She's lucky to have her mama watching over her :)
Oh no! I am sorry friend. I hope she is feeling better soon.
Oh no, ear infections are the worst. That always happened with my kids, the second they're off the antibiotics, it comes right back. Elliot gets her tubes on the 11th and then we'll all be ear infection free! I hope Cora feels better soon. Poor kid.
Aw, poor little minky! I hope she feels better soon!
Please feel better soon, Cora! Your mama needs more of your smiles!
I hope she gets better soon!!
Ack! All of my kids were on antibiotics earlier this winter! I know exactly what you mean about how icky scary it is to hold a listless, glassy-eyed hothot baby! I so totally relate with you: Sings Baby Beluga? Check! Nurses babies and struggles to keep up a milk supply? Check, check! Two year cut off date? Yep! Hang in there, and I hope your bambina feels better soon! <3
Hope little Miss Cora feels better soon. I hope the breathing treatments work. My daughter was in the hospital last January with pneumonia. They gave me a nebulizer and an inhaler (with a plastic tube since she's too small to use the inhaler on her own). Do you have an inhaler too? That thing saves so much time instead of doing an additional nebulizer treatment. Just a thought. Trying to think of some ways that will make your life easier right now other than just waiting until she gets better of course. :-) Hang in there.

Wow...you nurse for 2 years!!! WOW...My cut off was when they started biting!!! Hope she feels better soon too!!!
Poor baby. Ear infection are awful. We've only had one yet so far this winter, but last winter we either had 7 or 8, or one big long one that just wouldn't go away. The fever scares the poop out of me. It's just wrong to feel a little one so hot.
Horray to you for nursing to two though. I'm sure that is a great comfort to her while she's sick.
My 9 month old had the stomach flu on Saturday. I have to say it was great snuggling with her all day, even if I did have to change my clothes (and hers!) half a dozen times!
Awww... poor thing.
Oh, I hope she starts feeling better really soon! It's so hard to watch your little ones be sick!
((hugs))
